ACTIVE IMAGING plc announces major order for MvVision
technology from Trafficmaster Plc
Active Imaging plc has secured an order for approximately #1
million from Trafficmaster Plc to supply Trafficmaster with
its MvVision image capture and transmission equipment. The
final product will utilise recognition software to digitise
number plates and calculate the time taken for a vehicle to
travel between two cameras. The resulting data will be
transmitted to Trafficmaster's control centre in Milton
Keynes.
The initial order accommodates the expansion of the
Trafficmaster system onto Britain's A roads and it is
anticipated by Trafficmaster that the units will be installed
during the first half of 1998. This is the first application
of the Active Imaging MvVision technology in this market area.
