Suppose it depends on what any issue causing suspension is. They could go down the CHLL route and just issue the results with zero commentary, and then tough it out and pretend that there is some kind of big news due soon/imminently. But if its really bad they might want to suspend to protect the price while they try some kind of emergency fundraising in suspension (a bit of death spiral finance always goes down well) to keep the gravy train on the road.Maybe they can ask fake sheikh mk2 to pony up with some cash? Or the whole house of cards could just collapse. In terms of getting to the point of actually drilling a well, you have to seriously ask if these clowns that can't even get a CPR done in 4 months, what chance have they got of actually doing something.

i think they will be doing their best to avoid suspension, that
would obviously not be in their own best interests, however,
note that the BoD would continue to receive their pay and perks
even if suspended, so they have zero incentive to actually fess up.

Tick tock. Only a max of 4 trading days before potential suspension. And given that they said they would publish in advance of that date then there's no risk here. Its just as well you can take what OSA says in a regulated communication as the gospel. His word is his bond. When they say they will do something, by a certain date, its like a cast iron guarantee. Like delivering the CPR in 4 to 6 weeks. Totally on track for that one now its 4 months later. Or that they were investigating several potential opportunities with DBI investments. I mean just look at all the projects they have funded now. ADME are overflowing with so much cash they don't know where to put it. I know where they could invest all that cash. In the marginal field bid they are imminently going to be awarded. Don't let the fact that those marginal fields were announced months ago deter you either as I've heard its totally imminent like. There's no way that they would spend all that time and shareholders cash putting in a bid and then be totally silent and never mention it again. And the land of milk and honey will be overflowing here with all those promised drills this year and increased production as well as all that investment into more of the swamp; the fact that they don't own the swamp, only have rights to the ownership of a risk fund is totally irrelevant as this is a slam dunk, dead cert, because OSA has said it in a regulated communication. In OSA we trust. He is amazing. :-)

Why would they appoint a new director and less than a month later suspend shares?My bet is new director is working with Osa on something that will be announced next week.

automatic suspension if they don’t, unless they have somehow
secured another more exceptional extension. (very unlikely.)

… with shares then automatically being delisted from AIM in a few
months, unless they can rectify the situation. i am a little surprised
that so many holders are still prepared to remain invested at this point
rather than rushing for the door, but hey, i guess they are all adults.

5 trading days to the big reveal. What will those amazing hard working executives show us? Will they mention marginal fields, or will that be swept under the carpet. What about that overdue CPR? Or will they tell us exactly how much DBI investments has put in? Maybe they will change the name from ADME to DBIE, I mean its not like they changed the name of the company to reflect a big non investor in the past huh. Or will they just reveal how big a loss they made last year.

25 May. Yes indeed almost a whole 4 months ago the CPR was commissioned. "Pleased with progress", "moved swiftly" and the "springboard" no less and its was only going to take 4 to 6 week with the fist oil by H2 2021. All those promises currently lie in tatters. It is expected that the CPR will take four to six weeks. The Company will report the results to the market once completed.Osamede Okhomina, CEO of ADM Energy, said: "The new CPR is the springboard for the RSA Consortium's plans to develop the Barracuda Field and take the asset into production. It will validate the appraisal work already conducted by our internal technical team, which has defined immediate recoverable reserves and significant potential beyond. We believe that first oil of 4,000 BOPD may be possible and, subject to rig availability, could be achieved in H2 2021 by drilling an appraisal well (Barracuda-5). If this is successful, there may be the opportunity to further increase production to approximately 23,000 BOPD by drilling six wells by 2026."Since finalising the acquisition last month, we have moved swiftly to secure the services of key technical partners and have now officially commissioned Xodus to produce the CPR. We are pleased by progress at Barracuda to date and will continue to take a proactive role in driving the project forwards towards production."

possibly they simply couldn’t persuade enough people to
take part in a further placing at any price? - even with
a whopping discount, would be a risky business taking new
shares in a company that could be facing suspension v soon.

May as well start the week with no news on Marginal fields, TR1's the overdue CPR, clarity over the assets, 3 deals a year or the accounts huh. Seems they are taking it to the wire, wonder why that is. Perhaps they were waiting desperately for some news to drop so they could get a better price for a placing from the bucket shops. Tick tock.
