26/9/2007 09:15 | hard for me to answer Xylos, cos i dont live in england. perhaps Zengas or someone with uk tax info could help you. | leeson31
26/9/2007 08:57 | I have recently bought into Addax in the UK market. I am considering a largish additional investment and can just as easily buy them in the Canadian market at the same commission. Can anyone advise on the relative advantages of each market. eg there seems a bigger spread in the uk; more liquid in Canada. Are there any taxation considerations? I see that you are exempt from stamp duty in UK on this share, presumably as its prime listing is the TSE, so no difference there. Thanks in advance. Xylos | a0469514
23/9/2007 23:28 | Hi Hattori Glad to see you back in Timan. Been a choppy ride but i've kept faith with it -never easy. Hope you do well there and here in AXC (you too Robbie). Best of luck . | zengas

23/9/2007 18:32 | Hi ZENGAS, I trust you are thriving. I've been in AXC for a couple of weeks & I also bought back into TMAN last week. After spending this year concentrating on mining type stocks, AXC & TMAN are my first dabble in O&G stocks for quite a while, here's hoping we all prosper. As always, thanks for your informative input. Regards Hanzo | hattori_hanzo
22/9/2007 18:48 | Price parity to Tullow should have Addax at £28.15 now - both companies have similar reserves, but yet Addax are producing 70,000 bopd MORE from the same operating regions as Tullow. That alone should command a premium over Tullow at present to in excess of £30+ imho. The investor trip to Nigeria last week is a sign of ongoing presentations after the massive ramp up in production with more to come. The revenues alone are fantastic, now that production has gone over 140,000 bopd with more to come from other undeveloped but discovered fields. ($1.2b development and exploration budget). The Taq Taq field in the Kurdistan region Iraq will be put into full development production 2008 in the region of 200,000 bopd (that will give Addax 90,000 bopd). Addax are spending $90m there at the moment. (First 4 wells tested 112,000 bopd with 2 more currently drilling and yet to test). This should be worth £15+ . ("We are also encouraged that recent constructive efforts of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq should could result in a legal framework that will enable the Corporation to commence implementing this full field development in 2008."). There's also the Kewa Chirmila propsect in the same licence area with 175km of seismic being finalised. They are also looking for other Iraqi fields + Libya and other countries of interest with $1.6b earmarked for acquistions. 2007 revenues should equate to approx $3.1b and going forward are circa $900m per quarter at $70/b before any allowance for increased production from new fields to come on stream. (not including Taq Taq). Just think what the current huge revenues will do for acquistion and further growth alone ! | zengas |
