AEGON - Q2 Results 2008 - Interview With CEO

LONDON, August 7  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AEGON NV, the global financial group, today announced its Q2 2008 results in which it reported a 'solid' business performance and a strong capital position.

Despite ongoing turbulence in financial markets Aegon posted solid underlying earnings and growth in both sales and deposits.

In a video interivew Alex Wynaendts, AEGON CEO, said the company was in a good position to go forward.
