Good to see a buy just now at 277p following an earlier 10k buy at 270.29p which seems to have made a difference today.

The IC tip was almost a month ago :o))

More likely, especially given the recent rush of buying via AT trades, that institutional investors have begun buying in following their review of the trading update.

As I said before, imo the market is only just cottoning on to the transformation in quality taking place, and it just needed the trigger of a positive trading update to start things off.

Based on Finncap's forecast of 22.9p EPS for this year, a 320p share price would only be a P/E of 13.9. It seems to me that following the final results on 6th June there may well be upgrades to those price targets of 320p-330p.

The IC recently tipped ACL as a Buy, and the company have helpfully copied the tip onto their web site.

They note historic 18.7p EPS rising to 21.3p EPS this year:

Encouraging to see a broad positive consensus from the various covering analysts.

Finncap say Buy with a 339p target, Peel Hunt say Buy with a 315p target and Numis recently upgraded to a Buy with a 305p target.

I bought a few more today on the pullback. Very healthy volumes today, and looking encouraging online.

The results aren't far away on 6th June, so we should see a decent run-up until then given the very positive trading statement and cheap fundamentals.

I bought in a few weeks ago after selling a holding in BNC (Santander). This looked like a good fit with my other small cap dividend payers (so far AIR, ARBB, BMS, CNCT, FLO, TYMN). I liked what I read about the business and it looked to have a decent yield with the potential for capital growth, although I admit that my research isn't anywhere near as thorough as it should be for a stock picking strategy, generally preferring to piggy back on the portfolios of well known investors and fund managers.

Continuing to move up again today - the mid-price is up to 6.375p to 273.375p (the chart in the header is wrong). Remains very good value imho.

SoundBuy, the reason for my buying in recently is that I've been watching the growth of the Design & Manufacturing division for some time. It only needed a positive upturn in trading to ignite the market's interest in this stock.

I believe that as the market latches on the increasingly bespoke nature of ACL's revenues - and the cheap fundamentals, sound Balance Sheet and likelihood of acquisitions - there could be a sizeable rerating (assuming core trading continues its improvement).
