25/4/2017 08:01 | Finncap in their note after last week's trading update reiterated their 339p price target, so there's plenty of upside. They summarised: "Stronger H2 and brighter outlook BUY In a positive year end statement Acal has detailed that FY17 results are anticipated to be slightly ahead of management’s expectations. H2 sales were up +11% on last year at constant exchange rates and +6% organically. This is significantly ahead of the -7% organic decline in sales seen in H1. Order intake in Q4 was also strong growing +16% at constant exchange rates and +13% organically, positioning the group well for further growth. We make no changes to our forecasts and target price. With the shares valued at only 10x March 2018 EPS and with a dividend yield of 3.8% we reiterate our Buy recommendation." I also liked this: "Differentiated and niched. Acal supplies customised and high value-add products into market niches. This avoids the pricing pressure in commodity and consumer markets and supports the potential for a continued rise in margins." And: "Digital transformation is a major opportunity. Acal’s true potential value lies in taking advantage of the digital transformation of industry. With its growing expertise in power supplies, fibre optics, wireless and sensors (amongst others) and its design to delivery services, Acal is very well placed to produce significant long-term growth. Significant discount to peers. Acal is valued at a 42% discount to peers on a P/E basis, despite our forecast of significantly faster growth." | rivaldo
24/4/2017 12:53 | New Edison report today: Strong trading, EPS upgrades, cheap fundamentals, more acquisitions likely, sound Balance Sheet, sizeable dividend etc: Conclusion: "Valuation: D&M progress to drive upside Despite a 17% pick-up from the recent low of 211.5p, the stock continues to trade at a c 30% discount to the peer group average on EV/EBITDA and P/E multiples. The positive trading update combined with good progress in the strategy to grow the Design & Manufacturing side of the business provide confidence in both the near-term and longer-term outlook for the company. Continued growth in the proportion of revenue generated from design and manufacturing should support operating margin expansion, and should help to reduce the valuation discount. The stock is also supported by a dividend yield above 3%" | rivaldo
24/4/2017 11:29 | Bought some of these this morning - they look cheap imo. More later. | rivaldo

07/4/2017 10:43 | Well, getting nearer break even - again - fair few stale bulls here so expect any rise to be tempered by sellers, interesting couple of days...hmmmmmm | soundbuy
06/4/2017 19:12 | Can't find anything in the news to justify the rise today. Price gradually pushed up from under 220 to over 236. Strange move for seemingly no reason. | psync
06/4/2017 18:41 | Signs of life here? | mfhmfh
06/3/2017 15:39 | Paulypilot does not seem a fan of Hargreaves Hale. Their stock pickers have a habit of doing this in small caps. Maybe Hargreaves Hale are getting out of small caps lol Their local office where I am only offer portfolios on FTSE 350 shares. | metier9
06/3/2017 13:13 | Presumably Hargreave Hale will know :-) | felix99

20/1/2017 08:01 | Update sounding positive, earnings enhancing acquisition, not overly dilutive. 220p - got to wonder why most placings come at a discount when the shares have performed poorly........ Onwards and hopefully upwards... | soundbuy
20/1/2017 07:26 | So the directors and their friends are getting shares at 220p while we would have had to pay 232p yesterday. A nice earner if you can get it. | this_is_me
10/1/2017 12:12 | Acal, Eland and Tharisa among Peel Hunt's top value plays for 2017 Peel Hunt has looked beyond the big names to find undervalued stocks. Among its picks were Acal, Eland and Tharisa. | soundbuy
04/12/2016 17:14 | From IC this week The long-term improvement in margins is down to a structural shift towards in-house production: Acal's own components now account for 52 per cent of revenue and 86 per cent of operating profit. Trading at 11 times forecast earnings and at a heftier discount to the sector than usual, the shares remain a buy. Buy. Last IC view: Buy, 250p, 19 Oct 2016 | petewy
01/12/2016 09:34 | RSi @ a middling 48 - so technically no way on earth anywhere near to being classed as oversold - yet. | velod
29/11/2016 11:55 | Finncap reiterates buy with target price of 339p. added some last week at around 215p, then some more yesterday at sub 210p. rising MACD and RSI. Oversold IMHO. | mfhmfh |
