thisismoney have just released the following statement on Abinger Investments plc after the release of the first results of the Group.

"Abinger success

I KNOW it will please at least one reader to have an update on Abinger Investments, the financial services group which bought City Financial Associates and Galleon Assets Management last year.

Results for 2001 show a loss before tax of £290,000, which included start up costs. Total net assets, less current liabilities, amounted to £2.9m with group cash at bank of more than £1.2m.

Chairman Stephen Barclay says: 'This has been an extremely productive period for us and we have achieved our initial key objectives since listing on AIM last June. We are quickly developing a management team which works together in an effective and collegiate basis to meet and service our clients needs. We continue to consider further acquisitions.'

The company is now planning to change its name to CFA Capital Group, and a proposal will be put to shareholders at the annual meeting".

Regards

Pete.

Although Abinger share price has been advancing, this announcement is still the beginning of an upwards journey in its value IMHO.

Well folks - our time has come! AND I can reveal all. As you know, I have been in touch regularly with someone within the City and have had to maintain a certain protocol.

thisismoney have been informative, helpful and very professional in their approach to the representations I have made and this is the outcome.

May those who have already acquired shares sit back, relax and enjoy the ride and those who have not yet acquired consider the FACTS that are posted her now and in the past on this thread and make their own minds up.

Me, I'm sitting happy and contented.

Regards to all Abinger (soon to be CFA) shareholders and GOOD LUCK!!!

Ryan

Clarification of your relation to ABR would be appreciated just to confirm whether Linda's eloquently put statment "you Plonker" is in fact misguided.

Nice of you to clarify that then Ryan. I wonder how many people got suckered in on that post. Its amazing what confusion can be caused when you post only half a story. I might as well point out that this company is going to be taken over by ICI then ommit that its going to happen in 2009. Oh well never mind dyor.

You plonker, what a waste of time.

IMHO

I'll be ignoring you in future, and show people why they should to.

Avoint.

No, I am neither a blagger nor ramper.

Old man Barclay (the cunning little fox), has simply not let the cat out of the bag.
There is a lot more happenning behind the scenes than he`s made out.

Have you heard the saying, "location, location, location" when your buying a house, well when I worked at Apax and partners our equivalent saying was
" management, management, management" and Abr have that by the truck load.

Take up the shares you have. Some of the shrewdest investors I know, people who have made a serious amount of money from share dealing are heavily punting this stock.

This stock is a poptential 3-4 bagger but you are going to have to wait 8-12 months, which is relatively, a very short time for such a good return.

Good luck.

Regards

Ryan

Yawn - well that was an exciting days trading wasn't it! The results were um, well, as expected! I would have hoped for a little more enthusiasm in the Chairman's statement! Well, perhaps the Directors will buy a few soon - after all they've got enough OPTIONS to buy when the price does get going!

The MMs need to tighten that spread a bit though.

A rather dissaponted Pete!
