Rise in the price today - may be connected to the audited accounts hitting the streets; no mention of claims or any nasties. Price still very low though.

Results out - over £5m of cash is quite impressive. Trading poor in 2003 and Corporate Synergy income probably well down, but this is factored in. No bad news reported on legal claims or other matters. The investment in M&P Direct looks like it is worth a £m or so as well; i would expect a listing for this company in the next year or so - maybe another dividend en specie for shareholders?

Apparently, the results are now due out at the end of this month as there are a couple of matters to finalise on the accounts. It's all been very quiet on this one of late. Deal flow has also stopped. Anyone any news/views?

Results are due out at the end of March according to the company so not long to wait on this one. It will be interesting to hear what the company's plans are - it's all been fairly quiet on the corporate announcements side apart from the demergers.

Given the merger with Corporate Synergy and the demerger of Redstone and Bionex, a net asset value is tricky. I would expect approx. 10p/share of cash + the M&P investment. I notice that, even in these difficult times, Corporate Synergy are still completing on deals (e.g. Interactivity RTO). I will await the results before adding more. Izodia and Orb connection makes me a bit nervous, but providing no claims etc. then this business should go from strength to strength. Results could be this month I guess. Anyone know when they are?

Fortunately I sold the last of my mountcashel at approx £9. At the time mountcashel had redstone, xenova and an assortment of other bits and pieces. The vaughns had interests in gander properties, orb estates and no doubt loads more. What roughly is the net asset value of this stock. Many thanks.

With circa. £5m of cash they have still got the resources for quite a party! Price is fairly trashed though, but i think this largely reflects some of the difficult deals and bad press that Corporate Synergy have had recently. Time will tell what the long term impact of these is, but I would hope that CS have been put off advising Orb Estates in the future. I will stay a loyal supporter...for the time being! Let's face it, I have been passed some 50% of my original investment back in shares in Redstone and Bionex (which floats tomorrow on Aim) - not bad given that the original company still has more cash than the current share price! I also think that M&P Direct are a float candidate in a few months (not confirmed) and this could generate strong value for existing shareholders.

Thinking about it, ther must be some negative sentiment knocking around on CS in connection with Orb Estates link (re. Izodia and Quays Group). Anyone any views on this? Can't be doing CS any good I guess, although doesn't appear to be any finger-pointing at CS other than the independence issue on Quays.

Today's price drop was very uneven. Excellent evidence that markets don't work properly to value small companies. It took virtually the whole day for the price to drop 20% - i guess it should have dropped at the start of the day. However, the demerger os not the real reason to hold this one - just a bonus in my view! As always DYOR.
