05/6/2022 09:45 | For what its worth, I opened an Interactive Investor account to sit alongside Charles Stanley Direct. I am very impressed with ii. It's easier to use than Charles Stanley Direct and they are very responsive on queries. | topvest
21/1/2022 10:46 | One last moan from me, not that anyone's bothered lol. Talking to an ex-member of staff yesterday and that's it, everyone now gone. Some taking up new jobs, some retired and some just taken redundancy payments and having time out apparently. Many feel cheated. Offices shut and boarded up (old Rothman's building) will likely be turned into luxury apartments. Just a ghostly recorded message giving the number for II. Criminal it ended like this. RIP. | cfro
02/12/2021 12:08 | Snouts snuffling is all that matters now. | eeza
02/12/2021 12:04 | Ex-share plc customers pushed from pillar to post with the news today of the II takeover. I was with Share for 24 years - II for about five minutes - what a fiasco. | cfro
07/11/2021 14:39 | Form a circle for new pay-outs. | eeza
07/11/2021 14:17 | Having just been acquired by II earlier this year it's a case of oh no not again! | cfro
08/3/2021 17:55 | I see II have acquired the customer book of Equinity. | cfro
26/2/2021 18:01 | I see that Gavin Oldham is still playing a leading roll with a place on the board of II. His job description is II interaction chairman. I didnt think he would simply walk away and leave his baby in the arms of II without having some sort of influence still. I would imagine that he must have transferred most of his shareholding over into II shares. He made a comment not long ago that it wouldn't be too long until the stock exchange "had him back". | cfro
09/2/2021 09:55 | I can see a major problem immediately - i've no idea where they get their price feeds from but they are all wrong. My portfolio showing various gains or loses across my holdings which are none existent. Most of my holdings are actually unchanged this morning. | cfro
09/2/2021 07:57 | Quite true, cfro. But life goes on. | eeza
09/2/2021 07:18 | I agree there are some features better but for me it was the customer service and the added human touch when it came to sorting snags, problems, difficult trades with the SC that II will likely never match. | cfro
08/2/2021 23:10 | With SC from 2008 'til now. Also have an account with II (ex TDW) for 6+ years. Service was dire when TDW but improved immensely when II took over. No problems since. II has some features better than SC. You can sell a holding via a pop-up window in less than 10 secs. Also when getting a quote the trade page shows all the details including how many shares you get (SC didn't show that). £7.99 per trade with 1 free trade a month (on lowest 'Investor' tariff. Sub paid by DD so doesn't come out of funds. Pays divs just as fast as SC. Funds available immediately after sale. Fill/Kill and limits. Service staff seem very capable. All in all I was very happy with SC but II almost as good, imo. Only gripe is that it takes my holding above the Financial guarantee (£85K?) | eeza
08/2/2021 22:47 | Don't agree with those comments. The transition has been fault free. I expect people did not set up new passwords, direct debit etc. beforehand, but there has been months of warning and setting everything up was so straightforward. Comments say they had no choice to go to ii as other companies were not taking on new customers. That's rubbish, you can open a new account with HL or AJ Bell in minutes. Beside TSC charging 1% fee unless you paid to be a frequent trader, was a total rip off, now i can trade at £7.99 per trade regardless of size. People tend to use websites like Trustpoilet if they want a moan, I expect there are loads of customers happy with the new service. | gateside
08/2/2021 22:28 | There is a string of complaints from disgruntled SC ex-customers on II trustpilot website. I am not surprised... | cfro
08/2/2021 18:58 | Been with The Share Centre for a similar timeframe. I think Interactive Investor looks good, both website and App, I miss the clarity of TSC's website and I'll certainly miss their Customer Service. But there is more information for analysis on the ii website. I prefer it's charging structure too. Change is never easy, especially for long held investments, time will tell, but see this as a good move. | gateside
08/2/2021 11:52 | As if the management care, lol. | eeza
08/2/2021 11:41 | Well, first impressions and all that - not impressed with II at all. Personally i think the SC have done an incredible disservice to clients and shareholders alike. | cfro
05/2/2021 18:10 | Same here cfro, only been 22 years for me! | coincall
05/2/2021 17:49 | So that's it then, i move over to II on Monday. Like others forced against my will to change after 24 years of loyalty. (Judging by the trustpilot comments i am not alone in my thinking). Had other accounts with other brokers over this time period but always kept my account with the SC because i always got treated well, problems solved efficiently and trades dealt with professionally. Personally knew many of the staff over many years too. Unfortunately most have now left and those that are still there feel confused about the future. Go knows what happens to all the staff that are left and the offices at Aylesbury. What i can't believe is how Gavin Oldman has virtually given away a strong brand he spent many years building. I feel what really should have happened is that II just take on the SC as it is brand in tact, so effectively everything remains the same and just run it alongside the II brand. Strange thing is that Mr Oldman is not retiring and still has other irons in the fire such as the Share Radio. Intend to give II a chance for a while but if im unhappy will be moving on. | cfro
24/7/2020 17:49 | Anyone received their Interactive Investor unlisted shares yet? My account is actually with II, so I'll probably be one of the last to be credited. | rj allen
17/7/2020 18:03 | How many do you own newforestlad? I've had my payout today. They paid in two lots - the first the 4.1p and the second payout - the fractional entitlement made up the largest. All in all it simply added up to 41p a share. Worth holding on for. | cfro
17/7/2020 12:11 | What's going on they have took my shares and only offered 4.1p | newforestlad |
