Sometimes its seems that the MD's of these PLC's are not quite as on the ball as you would think they are. This is of course a personal view looking from the outside in.I have looked at the turnover, profit, debt etc of William Hill.Turnover as of 31/12/15 £1.59 billion, profit 184m, debt 800m plus. Market cap £3.6 billion currently.Market cap of Paddy Power-Betfair currently over £10 billion. Then we have 888.com. Turnover upto 31/12/14 £454m, Profit £67m, sorry can't remember debt, but not that much, Market Cap £640m. Results due soon maybe Turnover £500m Profit £75m. 888.com are one of the most advanced online gaming companies in the world, a very high quality company. What on earth is the MD of William Hill waiting fore, £3 a share maybe a bit rich but £2.50-£2.75 on a forward looking basis surely is money very well spent. The more I compare the valuations the more I see 888.com as a prime takeover target, defiantly sooner rather than later.William Hill, pay the money and give your shareholders the boost they need.

All of this is underpinned by a dynamic, talented and expert team and together we are looking forward to building on 888's success for our customers, colleagues and shareholders.

Brian has been an integral part of the 888 team for over a decade and led 888 with distinction during a transformational period for the Company. Brian has been integral to the Company's turnaround and growth including the launch of 888's operations in a number of new regulated markets. He moves on from his current position within the Company with many fantastic opportunities ahead. Furthermore, we are delighted to announce that Brian will continue to lead the Board and contribute his unique wealth of experience and understanding of 888 in his role as Chairman. correct - Hills needs 888 to give it scale and an online US presence.

I suspect 888 has a lot of bodies buried around the place so they would need to be careful.

Hills needs a big deal - AYA might even be it (although that would be massive undertaking)

The more i read of Wm Hills business the more they need 888 !!!!
Maybe they will come back with renewed offer later in the year.

There is still a fair bit of consolidation to go on in this sector .

Results due this month.Does look like a good time to buy.Still trading below the
last results peak.Reading between the lines, the results should be good. Hopefully should trade above £2.I would hope a bid is coming as it does look like a very serious takeover target.

Frankie ,

Will be another 3 years before the states fully opens up !!!
I still say that China will open up before the states and that will be one hell of a market for 888 to get into.
