The last but one paragraph stood out

DraftKings will likely continue to look at potential acquisition opportunities. It tried to hijack Fanatics’ acquisition of PointsBet’s US assets and was also in talks during the summer about a possible takeover of 888 Holdings. Chances are, this tactic will continue as we move further into 2024.

Maybe DraftKings still looking at 888 Holdings with a share buyout with clearing debt.

4.76% ( not that i would believe that)

Tomorrow Feb 1st is St. Wilkins Day (The Patron Saint of 888)

CFO remuneration

Sean Wilkins will receive an annual fixed pay of £430,000, be eligible to receive annual bonus and Performance Share Plan awards, all in line with 888's existing remuneration policy.

Further details of his remuneration arrangements will be set out in the 2023 Director's Remuneration Report.



it is no coincidence that as the final piece is formally added to the 888 that the trading shorting algorithims take a holiday ?

Helikon is a hedge fund ..they must have shorted it then bought back cheaply hence the increase in their holdings.Not a bad thing for retail investors assuming they want a cut of the big pie when a chunky takeover comes to the table.

After such massive volume yesterday I expected to see notification, I think after the sale of Kindred this will get snapped up in the coming 4/5 months

Something's up. Lots of big trades. Maybe a few dumping stock. I'm looking for £3 minimum return on this based on stress alone. Most will jump ship as soon as it hits 120p. Let's hope per has time to implement his plans and this get to £3+. Accepting a cheap offer pointless.

Personally I think the company is weeks or days from a takeover offer. I'm adding to my holding I think this business is hugely underrated, and it would be good if it stayed the course. However it's far too lowly valued now not to be acquired in the short term.

Some really big buys goingg through now but seems.market doesn't like it as still price declining. Who knows what going on with this share. Very suspect behaviour

Today Flutter lists on the NYSE. This does no harm in raising the profile of UK betting companies with big US investors.

we see a couple ( that's two by the way ) of 2,000,000 (that's million) buys

i wonder if it co-incides with Feb 1 and the new CFO replacing the "disgraced one"

It's only a month before decisions are made on promotion and relegation from the FTSE 100 - 250 etc

and very very soon Flutter gets the US listing

and it is only a week or so since disgruntled posters on ENTS on this site said " who is going to take the CEO job" at Ent when there is an activist investor

We were luck to get Per - good job the transfer market closes on is it ? Jan 31st

Entain tipped as a takeover target in the Daily Mail.

Next week buying more 888 can forsee significant upside from the current share price.

Last week I was in Cornwall & visited the Newquay branch of William Hill extremely impressed with their customer service.
