Yes...next week we will know if its a commercial oil discovery or not. At this stage all signs are very positive.

The next news will be the big news. Strong buying support in Australia at around 2.1p a share (0.036 AUD) suggests that those in the know are happily buying up all the short term traders sells.

The people who have no clue will bail out yes, those with a clue will be buying in.

Really could not have had a better result at this stage. Dont forget the only reason that PANR could claim "oil' was they had Baker Hughes VAS as their wireline logging failed at this stage.....if they did not have VAS their Theta West initial RNS would have read very much the same as todays 88E one.

Thats why I say, those who have no clue might sell, but those who understand will be buying.

Very significant differences between Merlin-1 and Merlin-2. From all the information so far it looks likely that Merlin-2 will deliver net oil pay, and of a very decent size given the thicker than expected reservoir. Fingers crossed could be boom time next week with the next update.


Merlin 1.

1. Mud gas peaks were also recorded and, although generally not of the same scale of the increase in total gas above background as that seen in the Analogue Wells, one of the prospective horizons in Merlin-1 did have substantially elevated total gas
2. With slow to moderate sometimes fast streaming cut when exposed to solvent


Merlin 2

1. Finally, significant mud gas peaks were detected across all target sequences
2. Target intervals are thicker than those encountered in Merlin-1
3. “moderately fast” to “immediate and blooming” “cuts” were noted, the speed of which is often a PROXY for sample PERMEABILITY.

Big chunky buys as well. And of course, they are drilling the reservoirs now.....so maybe some winks and nudges as the Logging While Drilling data is looking good ??

@idriveajag, can you please keep your ramping of NTOG to the NTOG board. When people start peppering other BB's with 20x bagger, it is so obvious what you're trying to do. Why not say 3x hand and perhaps retain a whisker of credibility.

NTOG also looking good.NTOG MCap just £3.4m, already producing in Texas, just drilled another well and awaiting flow results, three more wells to follow this year funded from cash flow, now profitable, immediate benefit from higher oil prices as they sell unhedged.NTOG potential 20x bagger this year.
