A refinery has to be designed to run on light sweet oil, it's all a matter of filling each unit, ie crude unit, hydro distillation unit, cat reformer, alkylation plant, vacuum unit, hydro cracker, and good old sulphur unit to name a few, they all have min runs and max, light sweet oil is expensive, compared to sour acidic grades. So your explanation Mr Smith isn't quiet right, it's very much more complex.

12 billion shares equates to £1 a share at a 12 billion market cap.

Just need around 3 billion barrels of oil at 5$ a barrel or so for that. Perfectly doable looking at 88E potential reserves imo.
