29/8/2017 07:31 | From eme rns this am,dont know if this helps with mud issue During drilling, well mud weights have been increased regularly to 13.5 ppg to control increasing levels of background gas. Multiple zones of significantly higher than background gas shows have been encountered whilst drilling. | dafad
29/8/2017 07:30 | Never tell me what is a mouse hole is used for? | ronjoe77
29/8/2017 07:23 | Oil base mud is only used in drilling the ppg or sg that's the weight holds back formation pressure, and the gells in the mud take the drilled cutting back to surface were the cuttings are removed and the mud pumps pump it back down the drill pipe out the bit and drill away till TD...once you are finish drilling the mud is removed, once you have completion inthe hole the last thing you want in is OBM ...production don't like mud its hell for them it messes with their plant...now ice2 has a completion in it..so the last thing you want to do is put Obm back in.Must be to do more work on it or kill it...but I made all that up as I look out my cell window. | ronjoe77
29/8/2017 07:06 | Yes Ronjoe ..the art of fine tuning, sling a load of mud down a hole to fill it in. What a fool. | neversatisfied
29/8/2017 06:52 | At this stage the only time u would use oil base mud is to kill the well.after u finish drilling the Obm is circ out the well with seawater and gets shipped back to the company that 88e got it from.the hole is cased in from top to bottom with seawater in then you will run your completion put on a xmas tree rig up wireline punch holes with perf guns and,rig them down the xmas tree is hooked up to production and using valves and choke controls the pressure and flow....production do not like mud in ther system | ronjoe77
29/8/2017 06:40 | Looks like upside over on LSE...has it spot on.check out what's he's saying... | ronjoe77
29/8/2017 01:44 | His only expertise with mud is probably on the pig farm😂 | keveeee
28/8/2017 21:52 | Yup correct. Cement is used for closing in wells. Not mud. | dave19w

28/8/2017 15:58 | Mud mud glorious mud | keveeee
28/8/2017 12:46 | Why mud may not be used for P & A from a former driller ''I have been working offshore for the past 12 years and done a bit of well abandonment on old expended wells off the coast of Angola and these were closed off with metal plugs far down the well and filled on top with concrete not mud'' | spooks3
28/8/2017 12:19 | Ron joe Oh dear You failed to read the full article and the part I cut and pasted for you. I gave you the article with the use of mud to control pressure and you failed to understand. Yet at the same time you claim to be a mud engineer. I ask myself why would a mud engineer not get it? Mud is used for more purposes than P & A. I would suggest you may have known that at some time but not any longer. Fine tuning as per RNS with mud to control pressure against your P & A which is thus far baseless. I think I will go with the former unless you can provide engineering evidence to support P & A. If it helps you do not have to respond as I think it may not be helpful to you. | spooks3
28/8/2017 12:07 | 88e is another long story give it 5 years on the aim let's say x, 2023 2.5 | ronjoe77
28/8/2017 11:57 | OK the Hyd formation is not =to the Hyd formation of the ftack fluid. Hence the drill mud. The drill mud just mean you can open the well.. Looks like it's a_&a pain. Sorry | ronjoe77
28/8/2017 11:47 | Spook you need to understand what is mud and. Why is it used? | ronjoe77

28/8/2017 11:29 | OK maybe you don't understand well desigh.. Why pump mud down well you are trying to test. | ronjoe77
28/8/2017 11:25 | OK man if 300 bbls of oil Base mud or 300 bbls of water Base mud turns up on your site and your the company man or toolpushrt.. What's your thoughts | ronjoe77
28/8/2017 11:14 | ''Love to know'' is answered in the article I posted and the highlighted section I copied just for you. I do understand contrarian views, those views are perhaps best served by industry professional such as you, reading and commenting. So far you have failed to do so, why is that? I agree that mud is going down the well, just not for the purpose you are stating. | spooks3
28/8/2017 11:03 | OK what you take on mud turns up on a well site. Love to know | ronjoe77
28/8/2017 10:54 | Well done from moving on. Yet you have not even commented on why Mud has an alternative use to what you are stating, which is P & A. From a person who was a mud engineer I am surprised that you are so one dimensional. | spooks3
28/8/2017 10:50 | Hey I understand mud well I was a mud engineer long time ago but have to move on.. Now I have other job. | ronjoe77
28/8/2017 10:41 | Hey Frank how many rigs u have | ronjoe77 |
