Anglo American carried out fieldwork in 2022, 2023 and 2024 at Disko. Following the 2023 fieldwork, AA reduced its total Mineral Exploration Licence (MEL) area from 9,724km² to 7,379km² (a 24% reduction). The decrease in the area applied to just one licence, namely MEL 2019-80 (from 4,792 km² to 2,447 km²). The rest remained unchanged.

AA's current four MELs are:
MEL 2019-115: 1,671km²
MEL 2019-79: 2,434km²
MEL 2019-80: 2,447km²
MEL 2019-59: 827km²
Total: 7,379km²

In comparison, 80M's six Disko licence areas amount to a total of 3,015 km² (roughly 40% of AA's).
MEL 2024-30: 112km²
MEL 2010-10: 288km²
MEL 2019-116: 695km²
MEL 2018-16: 1698km²
MEL 2017-01: 28km²
MEL 2012-29: 194km²
Total: 3,015km²

AA is yet to drill at Disko. I am monitoring to see whether AA will be conducting any fieldwork in 2025 by tracking the applications on the Mineral Licence and Safety Authority (MLSA) website for field activities. So far, nothing has appeared from AA.

AA has expressed enthusiasm about its Sakatti copper project in Finland through a press release earlier this year ( www.angloamerican.com/media/press-releases/2025/25-03-2025 ). As we know, Disko is not only a copper but it is also Ni-Co-PGM tenement. So, it will be interesting to see whether, and if so, when AA will be carrying out drilling.

As for 80M, we await news from the company on a new partnership for Disko, according to the statement by Eric Stensgaard (MD) in the RNS on 19 May 2025: "The Company remains confident of the potential of the Disko-Nuussuaq
project and in its ability to now attract a partner that will focus on advance the asset to drilling and hope to make further announcement on this in due course."

I think management did a good job getting out of MET1 without trashing the price. MET1 is way overpriced with all those 75,000,000 warrants at 2p.
80m has plenty of money now and no need for a fundraise.

Interestign update. the spend of the drilling means the 30% alone is is worth more then the current market cap of 80M

Thats a big RNS for 80M. I think we see a nice re-rate now.

My prediction - Strong buys will land and I reckon it will be Insiders loading. I don't think market understands the significance of this RNS but as always, they will soon enough.

The Project is also subject to mortgages in excess of €12m which should have been discharged prior to Hydrogen Valley acquiring Greenswitch but due to administrative error they have not been actioned. The Directors intend that this matter will be resolved before 80M acquires a material interest in the Project. Greenswitch is the subject of various disputes before the Italian courts including the ownership of the Project. The Previous Owner has indemnified Hydrogen Valley against all associated costs, payments and legal expenses associated with these claims and Hydrogen Valley can suspend payments to the Previous Owner until such time as these payments are made. 80M will not take a material position in Hydrogen Valley until these matters are resolved.
