15/3/2011 17:50 | Tough Year, Countries needing eurozone bailouts, earthquakes, revolutions, civil war-ish, Tsunami's, Nuclear power stations in meltdown.... and its only MARCH !!! I see why the old phrase "May you live in interesting times" is a curse. I want a nice long worldwide period of gentle growth and stability now please. | valediction
15/3/2011 12:55 | Agree chrisb1103, Also, having recently said that "the momentum developed in the past year is evident in the early weeks of 2011", April's IMS (13/4 last year) likely to be very positive imv. Seems like a good buying opportunity imo, despite the wider macro-economic concerns. | epsilon mojo

10/3/2011 22:43 | I was tempted to top up this morning, but have already brought on three occasions now. It is very tempting though on such a low valuation. ic2........ | interceptor2
10/3/2011 18:27 | The FD buying a chunk prompted me to buy in today interceptor2 @£2.687. very nice little compay this on a PE of only 8. | cfro
10/3/2011 10:33 | Agree that brokers forecast look too cautious, looks like the Directors think the same. ic2..... | interceptor2
10/3/2011 10:24 | Always reassuring to see cluster buying by directors. Broker estimates seem very cautious given positive outlook & leave plenty of room to beat expectations. New 12 month high coming soon imo. | epsilon mojo
10/3/2011 08:19 | And another Director buy, this time the FD picking up 3.5k @ 265p. ic2... | interceptor2
07/3/2011 16:23 | Strong vote of confidence from the chairman, surely the next leg up can't be far away - way too cheap at this price. | epsilon mojo

04/3/2011 16:15 | Growth Company Investor today: Promotional products supplier 4imprint (FOUR) has reported a surge in profits due to a sustained improvement in market conditions. The group has three trading operations, however, the most significant is in North America where it has a leading position in what is by far the world's largest market. In the year to 31 December, pre-tax profits not far off trebled to £8.1 million as sales increased 19 per cent to £200.8 million. The US arm gained market share as it stepped up its marketing efforts to attract new business. As a distributor of everything from pens to embroidered polo shirts, 4imprint relies on 'many thousands' of clients placing orders. Existing customer orders leapt 27 per cent a positive sign due to their lower cost of acquisition. Margins also stepped up by three points to 6.4 per cent. 4imprint has a small UK business in the same space and this achieved a swing to profits on sales up 12 per cent to almost £6 million. Also in the UK is Brand Addition. This provides typically large clients with their promotional products requirements and includes names such as Michelin and the Royal Bank of Scotland. It has won £13 million of new contracts and has invested in its sales resource to target new business. Blackpool-based SPS is a manufacturer of promotional merchandise and netted an underlying operating profit of £57,000 (2009: £56,000 loss) on sales down 4 per cent to £16.2 million. Overheads have been slashed so profits should improve further. 4imprint has a defined benefit pension scheme and has undertaken an early retirement exercise, and intends to propose an enhanced transfer value offer to certain deferred members. Chairman John Poulter says, 'We are taking positive steps to address the pension issue and view the outlook with confidence.' Recently-appointed broker Peel Hunt has a 300p target on the shares and forecasts 2011 pre-tax profits of £11.2 million, EPS of 33.6p and a chunky dividend of 14.3p a share. With a 5.6 per cent yield in prospect and current trading strong, a forward price/earnings multiple of less than eight is way too low. Buy. | gargoyle2
