04/11/2002 13:54 | "SELL TO RENT" (and retire)? Here's something to think about: Inflation & Deflation together?: Jim Puplava at is talking about a scenario where we see INFLATION & DEFLATION AT THE SAME TIME. How is this possible? Jim believes in a credit led deflation, where items puchased primarily on credit, fall in price as credit becomes restricted. Thus, cars, houses, and other items that have been purchased with debt get sold to reduce debts. And banks and other financial intermediaries get hit by credit losses and SEVERELY restrict the availability of credit. At the same time commodities like oil, gold, and grains etc. rise in price. In this scenario, the dollar drops sharply and the dollar price of those goods rises. It is not clear what he thinks might happen in Britain. Perhaps the pound would rise against the dollar, so the sterling price of those commodities may change less. But the "credit crunch" would likely extend to the UK, because many of those financial intermediaries operate on a global basis and so would tighten their credit standards everywhere. On reflection, this is beginning to look like a probable outcome to current trends. | energyi

09/5/2002 23:21 | What!! No-one wanting to sell used (butin good condition) Stocks & Shares books. I have spent ages looking up different web-sites for good stocks and share books and would love to provide a good home for a few of them. A couple that have been mentioned previously are Technical Analysis from A - Z by Steven B. Achelis. Any of JJ Murphy@s books, Charting made easy, Trading for a Living by Alexander Elder. In fact, I would be grateful for any input regarding books I have mentioned, and other books you would recommend (or hopefully,) sell to be at a fair price. P.S Hi Ruth.. | hindsite
15/4/2002 17:19 | I have a used for sale. Price £10. It has only been used once and is in excellent condition. Unfortunately, the cat died shortly afterwards and so it is now redundant. I suppose it could also be used successfully for a small cat-sized dog. | execline

01/4/2002 13:53 | Technet, do you know if Mag Innovision moniters are still available anywhere? my 4 year old pc came with a 15" one and ive had no problems with it, the reason i chose this moniter was that it had the largest 15" screen and as you know im looking to add 2nd or even 3rd and i wouldnt mind them matching, but i dont see them advertised anywhere and have not seen any offered second hand p.s i see you have dual and single graphics cards, i will probably have one of the dual from you | wonging
