15/7/2004 20:14 | sounds about right - any odd fractions will be paid off in cash | maut too
15/7/2004 20:07 | i have 500,000 old shares so i take it i will have 620 new ones in telewest global | maestro.
15/7/2004 17:52 | I think, think mind you, that an ADR is similar to a share certificate and is usually deposited with a financial organization, rather than being held by the owner. Whereas a CDI is an easily tradeable instrument - like holding shares in a nominee account. I don't know whether it's 62 separate CDI or one CDI containing 62 shares. | audereestfacere
15/7/2004 16:55 | Hi Stocktrader You have 62 new shares for the old 50,000 shares, and this is right according to the division of 804.4. But the description given to you seems wrong, as the old TWSTY shares were the same value as 200 gb ones. A few posts back someone said that there would be no ADRs, but CDIs. I also understood that one CDI in Crest was the same as a US telewest global share. Can anyone clarify this? | djwr100
15/7/2004 15:41 | djwr 100 - Thank you, looks like it's coming to the market at $13.70, then it's up or down from there. | audereestfacere
15/7/2004 15:33 | Telewest Global Inc (TLWTV.PK) This seems to work. | djwr100

15/7/2004 14:28 | does anyone know US ticker for twt? | malkie
15/7/2004 13:52 | I need the equivalent of £6.50. Didn't NTL open at $17 and eventually reach $70 +, before retreating to its current $57, but I really don't know how TWT Global compares with NTL. | audereestfacere
15/7/2004 13:44 | I think there will be a lot of positioning and it will be very volatile - the recent buyer of 300 million UK shares presumably will have either a very short term interest or not :-)) some bondholders may want to offload and some increase - should be exciting | maut too
15/7/2004 13:41 | ditto..do you think it will take off on monday then? | merlinz
15/7/2004 13:40 | I need around $11.60 to be breaking evens and the $13.7 would indicate a near 20% net gain :-)) | maut too
15/7/2004 13:35 | that equates to about $3.3 billion cap | maut too
15/7/2004 13:32 | dunno..interesting tho...might be an indication | merlinz
15/7/2004 13:30 | Merlinz - Could it be grey market trading ahead of the listing or the actual listing price? | audereestfacere
15/7/2004 13:21 | It's much better to concentrate on the share and its value, and how to work it out. No one need worry about my inexperience, lack of common sense, or anything else. All we have to do is take part in a constructive discussion to move us all forward. Those with limited time have no need to waste it here, and should use it productively. I'll be back later with some calcs. | djwr100
15/7/2004 13:19 | Stocktrader - Just doing it the way it's seen on ADVFN's monitor where one penny is shown as 1.00. Anyway the opening price remains at £6.29. | audereestfacere
15/7/2004 13:17 | Anderees, Dont you mean .0078 x 804.4004 (conversion rate) = 6.29p? | stocktrader
15/7/2004 13:15 | Just done a search for telewest on www.nasdaq.com and it came up as below...any ideas where the $13.70 came from? 15/7/2004 13:00 | djwr - I hold 36 shares at this time and often hold over 50 - there is not the time or incentive to offer free advice or detailed explanation - there is a very true saying that you get what you pay for. I have no great wish to work and even less to do it for free :-)) bb's work best when everyone contributes rather than looks to take. If people disagree with your thinking they will soon say but most big players will not have the time to give 'free' lessons but frequently post their thoughts. If you want an example of free advice - you only have to look at the dreamer/tomkins type posts albeit you may have to unblock the filter djwr100 - 15 Jul'04 - 12:37 - 77 of 79 Thanks for the advice, maut too. But if you do have some experience you would do us all a favour by helping with advice, detail and justification. I am really intrigued by 'the product offer and the way they work', please give us a break and tell us about it? This is a discussion board to discuss and help each other, it's not a competition. | maut too
15/7/2004 12:48 | You dont get it djwr ! This is maut too...he used to post as KDC and Ainsoph ! Ask any old regular about this person and you will find that he pretends to be a big shot and in the know about every stock going but when you ask for evidence he will ignore the subject or go quiet. Why do you think he started the TWT action group...because he went long at 220p and averaged down all the way...he has such a problem on this site that he can never bring himself to admit he loses money like we all do from time to time....Tadpole is the greatest example ! Gravy | day_dreamer
15/7/2004 12:47 | Stocktrader - You need to go back a few steps. Divide what you actually paid for your TWT shares by 62. That will give you a breakeven figure for the new share when it is trading on Nasdaq. If you believe 0.78 will be equivalent to the opening price, then the new share will start trading at £6.29. | audereestfacere
