Posted at 03/2/2010 20:29 by sir scratch WANTED: FOR BUYING TWT SHARES AND RAMPING AND NOT FORGETTING....LIVING IN BRISTOL!!! |
Posted at 12/11/2007 17:44 by uncle_pete Hi rorysdad, If you are still about and you have the time I wonder if you can answer a quick query I have.I've been having a clear out and found a certificate for 9891 ordinary 10p Shrs in Telewest Communications PLC. When I bought them they rocketed downwards to the point of no return and I had forgotten all about them till now. I guess my question is1.Should I divide them by 804 and multiply them by the current shr price (which I can't find as TWT seems to be something else now) 2. Speak to a broker (can you recommend one) 3. Throw it away as it is next to worthless Cheers Uncle_Pete |
Posted at 05/2/2007 17:26 by elmfield Sorry to hear that, the epic twt today is an entirely new company and nothing to do with the old cable one which had same epic. Just wanted to point this out in case some one gets confused! |
Posted at 04/12/2006 08:29 by elmfield Alot of press over weekend including the FT, but can anyone put a value on TWT now, all looks like no one really knows? |
Posted at 06/10/2005 11:31 by headlybill I purchased 10000 shares when the price was 1.96 TWT, I have never seen any documentation as to what happened to the original shares. I see that the directors are going to get a substantial amount of money, at the expense of the original shareholders, from NTL.What happened to the original shares? |
Posted at 25/6/2005 10:13 by optomistic It looks to me like they want to get rid of the old TWT shareholders with low numbers of shares, just pay us off full stop. I would have preffered shares, at least then there would be some hope of a valuation increase, but then again they never did have the interests of the shareholder at heart so perhaps cash will be best with no exit costs. |
Posted at 25/6/2005 09:29 by optomistic Angry Eric 2, it means that the TWT shareholder has been given less than what can be described as a 'fair deal'. |
Posted at 06/6/2005 19:21 by angry eric 2 Interesting. The merger is rumoured to involve NTL paying TWT $22 a share so TWT have a junior role in the merged company. Total company valuations on current prices are TWT 5.19 billion dollars, NTL 5.76 billion. Doesn't seem a lot in it regards valuations. |
Posted at 21/5/2005 10:38 by leociavarella As a TWT shareholder you have the choice of accepting a cash offer or an equivalent amount of shares in NTL, assuming that TWT is absorbed by NTL and not trading as a subsidiary.I would suggest that if NTL pay cash you take that offer and buy NTL shares after the merger as the shares are likely to drop as a result. |
Posted at 17/5/2005 20:26 by angry eric 2 If NTL pay cash for TWT shares does that mean TWT share holders lose all their shares? Any one any idea how mergers work? Does one company just pay cash for the others shares? |
