11/6/2006 14:33 | so you are saying the business plan is out of kilter? what needs to improve | muffinhead
10/6/2006 19:33 | I assume work is spread evenly over the year..... So 3mill wiggle financed by the group over 4mths before customer settles final a/c...I think not....only takes a week or two to get a crown fitted by the dentist and a/c settlement in a month FDT has only made a positive eps ever in 2004 Broker estimate EPS 1.7 for 2006 with loss of 0.6 for 2005. So safe to say last years estimate by broker of eps surprise loss was a blip (lol...)and no more exceptional costs for acquisitions, rationalisations or newbury redundancies to be needed or the fact that the market is dire for labs due to nhs changes!!?? Directors gave a brief spur to the share in march by buying in a falling market but has been steady selling since back towards march lows | muffinhead
10/6/2006 10:58 | it will make profit this year which is more than can be said for OSH. | jaguarboy
09/6/2006 21:04 | Whats managements take on the current dental market? Heard some labs in real trouble with 60% drop in nhs turnover due to dentists new contracts This share ain't bottomed yet | muffinhead
09/6/2006 20:52 | Looking back at results statement in march, Debtors account for £3mill in Nov 05 with group turnover of £11mill. >>>Poor financial control of group | muffinhead
05/6/2006 10:07 | Me and the girlfriend are thinking of doing the old dental tourist thing to Poland to get some crowns etc. I wonder how many people are now doing likewise given the absurd UK dental prices, and how much of a bearish factor that is for FDT? | wiganer
05/6/2006 09:52 | ...and if business contracted for a while. many patients have enough wiggle room to postpone veneers or a new false palate until they've saved up the money, rather than hitting the plastic. | bbbb
05/6/2006 09:00 | the management have been a disaster - they cannot manage acquisitions, they cannot grow their market and they may have the luxury of decent margins. Once results show they have better management you might see some buyers. Imagine the result if margins were small and if they did not have good market opportunity. | silverfern
31/5/2006 09:03 | if the core of their crownwork is now pinned to the private sector, any cutback in discretionary spending, to pay down the plastic and cover the raised bite of interest on patients' borrowed-out house equity might affect the immediate outlook. | bbbb
31/5/2006 08:40 | Why we just taken a 7% hit? OSH results looked good - though they have not led to much early dealing. | trader2
25/5/2006 15:02 | I had hoped that we'd weathered the recent market turmoil; sadly, it seems to be getting to the share price albeit in little increments. | spaceparallax
19/5/2006 12:55 | The current share price results from an amalgum of elements. | spaceparallax
17/5/2006 15:21 | sounds like decay to me | deadfred2
15/5/2006 13:17 | Yes Sir C the company deserves some positive press coverage at last. I can not understand that given the positive forecasts for future earnings that the share price is still trading below the NAV of the company. The share has to be a bargain at these levels. | jaguarboy
12/5/2006 20:59 | I have just read the article in Investors Chronicle and this is just the sort of publicity the company needs. Having just spent over £1,500.00 on root canal work and a crown. First Dental Labs must be making a good margin. The article is forecasting pre-goodwill profits of around £700,000.00. Add to this cost savings of £400,000 in the closure of the Newbury office and the future should give FDT Shareholders an ultra white smile! | sir christopher
12/5/2006 14:15 | Tipped as a buy in IC today. | jaguarboy
11/5/2006 12:45 | Hopefully soon we will hear more about the cost saving measures which were mentioned in the final year results back in March. FDT should also be pleased that 9 out of 10 NHS Dentists have accepted the new contracts and will continue under the NHS system. The website is currently under re-development which has to be an improvment on the last one. | jaguarboy
11/5/2006 11:49 | Good to see support at this 24p level - yesterday hinted at a fall to 23.5p, but doesn't seem to have materialised. | spaceparallax
21/4/2006 11:39 | Chart sems to be confused about which way to go - some good news would go a long way right now. | spaceparallax
18/4/2006 14:17 | Anyone aware of reasons for the Selling spree today? | spaceparallax
11/4/2006 17:57 | Despite the majority of today's trading being Sells, I'm surprised to see a fall in share price on such a small volume. | spaceparallax
08/4/2006 12:45 | looks like the blokes over at www.fairshare.biz got it right again as usual, how do they do it | nockybalboa
03/4/2006 14:35 | but the chart shows that rolling over look, with reducing momentum.. | bbbb |
