14/6/2013 10:29 | having held off yesterday I topped up with a few this morning @ 7.5...tempted by the fact that there were more shares available to sell than buy online (normally a positive sign) turned out to be a little eager as I could have had some shortly after for 7.3 although they have since firmed to 7.34 with still more available to sell than buy don't expect them to dip under 7 but if they do then i'll be in for some more | gleach23

12/6/2013 12:18 | 12 June 2013 WANdisco plc ("WANdisco" or the "Company") Annual General Meeting Chairman's Statement Sheffield, UK - WANdisco (LSE: WAND), a provider of high-availability software for global enterprises to meet the challenges of Big Data and distributed software development, announces that at the Company's first Annual General Meeting, held today in Sheffield, UK, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, David Richards, will make the following statement: "It is with great pleasure that I am able to report to our Annual General Meeting that very good progress continues to be made in all areas of our business. On the product development side our new and evolving products for the Application Lifecycle Management and Big Data markets are being well received by our customers. Since the IPO we have hired a number of highly experienced enterprise sales staff and they have delivered substantial year-on-year sales growth, which in the first quarter was 96%. Also pleasing was an almost three-fold increase in the average deal size as we now sell on value rather than technology. The sales pipeline for the second quarter and beyond continues to grow for all products and the group remains confident of further substantial sales growth. We anticipate making further updates in the coming weeks associated with our Hadoop Big Data products. We anticipate them to be made during the Hadoop Summit, where we are exhibiting, on the 26th and 27th of June. Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the employees of the Group who have contributed so much to the rapid growth and development of WANdisco and we all look forward to further progress going forward." For further information please contact: WANdisco plc: David Richards, Chairman and Chief Executive via FTI Consulting Officer | 412069

12/6/2013 08:08 | Anybody notice yesterday's (11th June) hint of good news in the RNS/TR1 Notification of major interest in shares? It was from Quantum funds - this fund is controlled by Soros - yes the "Soros", one of the most famous speculators and investors in the world - and he has taken a very respectable 7pc mouthful! We are in good company with this one lads...a very positive sign and vote of confidence... This isn't just any fund for sure...the shareholders of the fund are not disclosed as no doubt pretty exclusive, but its also known the Rothschild family are involved, and the fund runs Soros' own family money. This is a fantastic vote of confidence in the big picture context for us!Quantum Group of FundsFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaThe Quantum Group of Funds are privately owned hedge funds based in Curaçao (Netherlands Antilles) and Cayman Islands. They are currently advised by George Soros through his company Soros Fund Management. Soros started the fund in 1973 in partnership with Jim Rogers. The shareholders of the funds are not publicly disclosed although it is known that the Rothschild family and other wealthy Europeans put $6 million into the funds in 1969.[1]In 1992, the lead fund, Soros's Quantum Fund became famous for "breaking" the Bank of England, forcing it to devalue the pound. Soros had bet his entire fund in a short sale on the ultimately fulfilled prediction that the British currency would drop in value, a coup that netted him a profit of $1 billion[2] (see Black Wednesday). In 1997, Soros was blamed for forcing sharp devaluations in Southeast Asian currencies .In July, 2011, the Quantum Fund announced they would now also manage Soros' family money.http://en.wiki | mwaller

04/6/2013 23:29 | I suspect selling somewhere after the peak volume of posts on this bb would work, although I have yet to plot some graphs to see if it does. Does seem to go quieter when a share has shot up and been up for a while. I guess that reflects a gradual waning of excitement as folk gradually decide enough is enough, although of course nobody posts that they are out much. | yump

04/6/2013 17:17 | Interesting remarks in that article about the appetite for AIM shares being relatively poor. That just doesn't tie up with the willingness of buyers to inflate share prices as if companies are already making bumper profits. Perhaps the problem is with companies that don't feature the words 'mobile', 'cloud' or 'big data' and are already making a profit against which they can be valued. I see the market as having changed over the last 15 years or so into a gamblers den, where the objective is not to take your money off the table when the business growth starts to slow, but to figure out when to take your money out, before the crowd do, regardless of what the business is doing. | yump |
