--Chevron Corp. (CVX) wants proof that a Texas refinery it is slated to buy from Brazil's Petroleo Brasiliero SA (PBR), or Petrobras, will operate as promised, Reuters reports Monday, citing "Gulf Coast market sources."
--Over the weekend, the refinery's catalytic reformer was shut, the report said, after the refinery told environmental authorities Friday it was restarting the fluidic catalytic cracking unit.
--A spokesman from Chevron said it expects the transaction to close this quarter, the report said.
