WestKam Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:WKG) ("WestKam" or the "Company") has announced details of its proposed 2014 exploration program on the Company's Bonaparte Gold Project near Kamloops, British Columbia. The new program will follow up on the successful 2013 campaign that extended both of Bonaparte's key targets: -- Shear-hosted, high-grade gold mineralization in quartz veins (Discovery Zone) -- Bulk tonnage, porphyry copper-gold mineralization The overall goal of the 2014 program is to further advance and test both deposit types. The proposed field program will include mapping and prospecting, 3D IP and magnetic geophysical surveys and soil geochemistry. Based on the results of these surveys, priority, shallow-hole drill targets will be selected. The proposed field program will test the extension of the following targets: 1) Discovery Zone Chargeability Anomaly The 2013 IP survey delineated a chargeability response extending from the high-grade Discovery gold zone 800 meters to the south-southeast. This anomaly remains open and appears to strengthen to the south. Further Volterra 3D IP and magnetics surveys will attempt to find the limits of the Discovery Zone's southern extension. 2) Porphyry Copper-Gold Target Southwest of the Discovery Zone, the 2013 surveys discovered a large magnetic anomaly comprised of extreme highs and lows with coincident IP chargeability responses under a younger basalt cap. These results suggest potential for a multi-phase intrusive. Additional Volterra 3D IP and magnetics surveys will test the target's southern extension. 3) Stream Sampling to Further Explore Porphyry Potential Silt and soil sampling is proposed for streams that drain the southern extension of the basalt cap. This work is designed to obtain information about potential copper-gold mineralization beneath the basalt cap. The scope of the program is contingent on future financing.
