Verena Announces New Chief Financial Officer

  Verena Minerals Corporation (TSX VENTURE: VML) (the "Company" or "Verena") is pleased to announce that Mr. Jeff Dawley, CA, CPA (Illinois), has accepted the role of Chief Financial Officer for the Company. Mr. Dawley is a Chartered Accountant with over 16 years experience in corporate financial management, governance and reporting in Canada. Mr. Dawley has most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and Technology, and Corporate Secretary of NexgenRx Inc., a TSX Venture Exchange listed company that provides health and dental claim adjudication services. He also held finance roles with the ACNielsen Company of Canada, The Canada Life Assurance Company, Bank of Montreal and Abitibi-Consolidated. Mr. Dawley is a chartered accountant, certified public accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
