Latin American Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:LAT) (the "Corporation" or "Latin
American") has retained the TRU Group Inc ("TRU") (www.trugroup.com) in order to
advance its Salares Potash-Lithium Project on the Puna Plateau, Argentina. TRU
Group's lithium team is the world leader in resource evaluation, salar
exploitation, brine and mineral lithium extraction and processing technologies,
and is expert in the production and refining of lithium intermediates such as
brines, lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide, lithium chloride, butyl-lithium,
lithium metal, lithium alloys and compounds.

Latin American Minerals currently has staked over 93,000 hectares in the Puna
Plateau (see attached Map 1: "Location of Latin American Minerals Inc.'s Salares
Potash-Lithium Project showing location of mineral properties and crust and
brine samples"). The Puna region hosts one of the largest concentrations of
economic evaporite deposits, including the world's largest lithium producer, SQM
(Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile S.A.) in the Atacama Salt Lake, and the
fifth largest lithium producer, FMC Corp., in the Hombre Muerto Salt Lake.

Edward Anderson, President and CEO of TRU, confirmed that, "TRU has visited and
assessed most of the lithium facilities in the USA, Chile, China, Argentina,
Bolivia, Australia, Canada, Russia and Zimbabwe. TRU has the most qualified
lithium team in the world," he said, "with strong capability in all aspects of
lithium technology and the industry - lithium brine, spodumene ore, lithium clay
mining, geothermal, lithium compound & metal extraction, manufacturing,
engineering and refining. TRU has also worked extensively in the applications
for lithium, including in Li-ion, cells, batteries, compounds, ceramics, lithium
quartz crystals, metal and lithium alloys."

David Wahl, P.Eng., P.Geo., President and CEO of Latin American Minerals, said,
"We recognize the significance of TRU's major end user contacts as an integral
component in development of our project. We're also interested in Mr. Anderson's
market perspective, which will be presented at the Lithium Supply & Markets
Conference in Santiago later this month."

"We look forward to having the TRU Group visit our Salares Project to provide
technical guidance in order to fast track the development of the project,"
reports Waldo Perez, P.Geo and Senior V.P. Exploration for Latin American
Minerals Inc.

Latin American Minerals Inc. is a mineral exploration company focused on the
acquisition and development of mineral projects in under-explored but
highly-prospective countries of Latin America.
