Silver Spruce Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: SSE) announces that Lloyd Hillier of Goose Bay, NL. has resigned as President and CEO of the Company to spend more time on his extensive business ventures. Mr. Hillier has been President since the formation of the Company by Labrador residents during the Voisey's Bay staking rush in the mid 1990s. In his position he guided the company through the challenging commodity cycles of mineral exploration and mining with the high point being the Central Mineral Belt (CMB) of Labrador uranium staking rush in the years 2006 to 2008 when the Company discovered the only significant new uranium deposit in the CMB, the Two Time Zone. Mr. Hillier remains committed to the Company and will remain a Director and Chairman of the Board.

Peter Dimmell, P.Geo. a Director since 2000 and VP Exploration since 2006, has been appointed to the position of President and CEO. Mr. Dimmell has a BSc with a major in geology from the University of New Brunswick and is a professional geoscientist (P.Geo) in both Newfoundland and Labrador and Ontario. He has extensive experience in the exploration field since 1969 as an exploration geologist with major mining companies and since 1992 as a mineral exploration consultant. He is a Past President of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and is an independent director and technical advisor of three other public traded junior mining companies listed on the TSXV.

The Company would like to thank Mr. Hillier for his long service to the company and wishes him well in his continued business ventures. His residency in Labrador and his continued involvement with Silver Spruce as a Director and Chairman of the Board will provide needed continuity, and an insight into Labrador and its people.
