Stroud Resources Refiles Second Quarter 2011 Statements With Additional IFRS Disclosures

Stroud Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SDR) (the "Corporation") announces that it
has revised and refiled its unaudited condensed interim financial statements for
the three and six month periods ended June 30, 2011.


The revised statements have been filed at the request of the Ontario Securities
Commission and include the following changes to the unaudited condensed interim
financial statements that were filed on August 29, 2011: 




--  now include statements of changes in equity for the comparative three
    month period ended June 30, 2010; and 
    
    
--  now include a disclosure of the comprehensive income reconciliation for
    the three months ended June 30, 2010, and for equity as at June 30,
    2010.



The refiled unaudited interim financial statements have been filed with the
Canadian securities regulators on SEDAR and may be viewed on www.sedar.com.


Stroud is a debt-free exploration company focused on the discovery and
exploration of silver and gold deposits in Mexico and Ontario. Stroud owns a
100% interest in the Santo Domingo epithermal silver-gold project in central
Mexico. In addition to the Santo Domingo project, Stroud also owns a 100%
interest in the Hislop gold property, near Timmins, Ontario and the Leckie gold
property, near North Bay, Ontario. Stroud has granted St. Andrew Goldfields an
option to earn up to a 60% interest in the Hislop gold property. Stroud also
generates cash flow from a 3.75% interest in six natural gas, and natural gas
condensate wells in central Alberta.
