Samoth Provides Update to Annual General and Special Meeting Matters Due to Canadian Postal Strike

The Annual General and Special Meeting (the "Meeting") of shareholders of Samoth
Oilfield Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SCD) ("Samoth") will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011
at 10:00 a.m. at #2, 64 Riel Drive, St. Albert, Alberta.


Copies of the Notice of Meeting and Information Circular and the form of proxy
prepared in respect of the Meeting have been mailed to the shareholders and are
available under Samoth's profile at www.sedar.com. Shareholders who do not
receive these Meeting materials on a timely basis are encouraged to access them
via SEDAR. Alternatively, Samoth will provide copies of the Meeting materials
upon request and without charge. 


As a result of the Canadian postal strike, Samoth strongly encourages its
shareholders to submit their completed proxies with respect to the Meeting by
facsimile to Valiant Trust Company at [phone]. The deadline for
submitting completed proxies is 10:00 a.m. (Calgary time) on Wednesday, July 8,
2011. 


Shareholders should consult with their financial advisors about the proper
