Hansa Resources Ltd. ("Hansa") (TSX VENTURE:HRL)(FRANKFURT:3F2). Jeff Gale, President, announces closing of a Purchase and Sale Agreement ("the Agreement") with Mawson Resources Ltd ("Mawson") to purchase 25 exploration claims and 1 mining lease ("the Claims") in Sweden. The portfolio is comprised of 15 gold projects ("Gold projects") and 11 base metal projects. Consideration paid to Mawson for Hansa's purchase of the Claims consists of CDN$250,000 together with 6,000,000 common shares of Hansa with future production subject to a 2% NSR royalty. The Gold projects now owned by Hansa represent one the largest property holdings in the Skellefte gold mining district of northern Sweden with in excess of 28,000 Ha of claims. The Gold projects are centered on the 130 kilometre long Skellefte "Gold Line", an emerging gold camp with one operating gold mine and one project in final feasibility. Three advanced gold projects are contained within the Claims, including Vargbacken where drilling is sufficient to calculate a NI 43-101 CIM-compliant estimate of an Indicated Resource of 1.2 million tonnes @ 1.44 g/t gold (56.7 Koz of gold) and an Inferred Resource of 0.9 million tonnes @ 1.68 g/t gold (48.1 Koz of gold) at a 0.6 g/t cut off. Vargbacken is covered by a 25 year mining license granted in October 2003. The base metal assets now owned by Hansa include properties in the Caledonide geological province of North Western Sweden and the Vena copper-cobalt-zinc-silver project in central Sweden located 7 kilometres north of the Zinkgruvan mine and concentrator. Mr. Gale comments, "Having worked in Joint Venture with Mawson on these properties, we know that they hold strong exploration potential. We are pleased that our relationship with Mawson is strengthened through their shareholding in Hansa. In conjunction with Hansa's developing Storkullen zinc - gold project, the Company is taking a lead position in exploration in Sweden." The qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 is Mark Saxon, Director and Vice-President of Exploration for Mawson and a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Mr. Saxon has reviewed and verified the contents of this release. Hansa Resources Ltd is TSX Venture Exchange listed mineral exploration engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of base and precious metal properties in Sweden and Angola.
