E. S. I. Environmental Sensors Inc. ("ESI" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ESV) is pleased to announce that ESI and Dycor Technologies Ltd. ("Dycor") have formally agreed to enter into a collaborative relationship for the second generation development and commercialization of ESI's water cut sensor technology, Flo.Point(TM). The Company's Flo.Point(TM) instrument was designed for the oil industry to measure the volumetric presence of water produced during crude oil extraction allowing for real time monitoring, data collection, characterization and optimization of the production process. The information provided by the Flo.Point(TM) sensor will allow oil producers to optimize production, resulting in significantly reduced production costs, substantial environmental benefits, optimized yields, and increased profits. As disclosed in the Company's press release of October 28, 2013, over the past months the Company has been in discussions with potential partners on the development of a unique second-generation Flo.Point(TM) device. As the first result of these discussions, ESI and Dycor have just signed a formal agreement to jointly develop the best available commercial water cut sensor solution in the oil industry. The development program will involve expertise based at ESI in conjunction with Dycor's technology innovation strength and vast oil industry experience. It will also include the co-operation of a significant lead customer in Canadian oil production for testing and solution specification purposes. Edgar Semler, President and COO of Dycor, stated: "As a leader in supplying the Western Canadian oil industry with customized solutions for data acquisition to maximize operations and production, we are gratified to have identified the potential for ESI's technology to significantly impact the industry's increasingly necessary focus on enhancing oil recovery and streamlining production operations. We look forward to our close collaboration with ESI in re-developing Flo.Point(TM) and taking this new product design to market, meeting a real and present need which our clients have expressed." "For ESI this agreement with Dycor and the launching of this development program mark a new milestone in the Company's efforts to be a leading supplier of intelligent and innovative environmental sensor solutions. Dycor's decision to partner with ESI is a striking recognition of the proprietary value of ESI's Flo.Point(TM) technology. We are confident this collaborative effort will result in a comprehensive, intelligent and remarkably competitive customer solution second to none", said Stephan Radermacher, Chairman of the Board of ESI. ESI will announce shortly, further partners in and contributors to the Flo.Point(TM) development project.
