Marengo Announces Senior Manager Appointment and Non-Executive Director Retirement

Marengo Mining Limited ("Marengo" or the "Company")
(TSX:MRN)(ASX:MMC)(POMSoX:MMC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr John
Mears, P.Geo, as Chief Operating Officer ("COO") of the Company. 


Mr. Mears is an experienced, licensed Geologist in the USA and a Member of the
Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM). He has over 20 years
experience in exploration and mining, and has served on the Board of a number of
companies. Mr. Mears brings a wealth of understanding and capability to Marengo.


In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 3.16.1, Marengo wishes to advise that
retiring from the Board of Directors is Mr Ian Hume, a Director of the Company
since October 2012 and is a representative of Marengo's major shareholder, The
Sentient Group. Mr Hume's retirement is effective immediately. Ian leaves with
the appreciation, support and best wishes for the future from all the Marengo
