Champion Bear Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:CBA) ("Champion Bear" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that, effective April 1, 2011, Marc Stachiw and Rob Foy have been appointed directors of the Company to increase the number of independent members and to add to the financial, operational and technical experience of the Board. Audrey Och has resigned as a director to facilitate these appointments and changes to the Board. Marc J. Stachiw is the Vice President of Alberta Wind Energy Corporation, a privately owned wind power developer headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Haskayne School of Business, a Bachelors Degree from the University of Saskatchewan, the Canadian Investment Management (CIM) designation, and is a CFA charterholder. Mr. Stachiw is also currently a director of Kestrel Gold Inc, a mining exploration company trading on the TSXV. Rob Foy is the President of Foy Geological Services. He is a career geologist that brings more than two decades of exploration and production experience to the Champion Bear Board having worked extensively in Canada as well as South Africa, Zimbabwe, Norway and Australia. He is also a P. Geo. and qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. The Company thanks Ms. Audrey Och for her contributions to the Board. About Champion Bear Champion Bear is a mineral exploration company focused exclusively on the historically prospective regions of Ontario. Champion Bear's primary target is platinum group and precious metals and to a lesser extent polymetallic base metal and pegmatite-hosted tantalum deposits. Champion Bear's aim is to create shareholder value through selective property acquisition and joint venture followed by focused exploration emphasizing drilling.
