Altai Responds to Unsolicited Offer

Altai Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ATI) (US SEC Rule 12g3-2(b) File # 82-2950)
("Altai" and the "Company") acknowledges the announcement made on August 19,
2013 by Zara Resources Inc. ("Zara") of its intention to make an unsolicited
offer to purchase 100% of the issued share capital of Altai, Greencastle
Resources Ltd. and Visible Gold Mines Inc.


As of the date of this news release, Altai has never had any discussion with
Zara, and the Company has not received any communications with any details
regarding the intended Zara offer. 


The Company recommends that Altai shareholders defer taking any action in
respect of the possible Zara offer until shareholders have received further
communication from the Board of Directors of the Company. The Altai Board will
issue a directors' circular concerning any formal offer. The directors' circular
will contain important information including the determination of the Altai
Board with respect to a recommendation to Altai shareholders.
