Energy Fuels Seeks Special Use Permit for Its Pinon Ridge Uranium / Vanadium Mill Facility From Montrose County, Colorado

TORONTO, ONTARIO -

As a first step toward permitting and licensing the Pinon Ridge Mill facility, located about 12 miles west of Naturita, Colorado, Energy Fuels (TSX: EFR) submitted an application for a Special Use Permit to the Montrose County (Colorado) Land Use Department on July 24, 2008. In the application, Energy Fuels requested that the land use designation for the 880 acre mill site be changed from "General Agricultural" to "Mineral Resource Operation Facility". Approval of this special use permit is anticipated before the end of 2008.

Energy Fuels plans to construct and operate the Pinon Ridge Mill Facility on the subject site. The facility will process mine production from Energy Fuels' nearby mines, as well as mines owned and operated by others, for uranium and vanadium. The facility will employ up to 95 full-time people and is planned to operate continuously for up to 30 years after commissioning.
