Teton Petroleum Company Changes Name to Teton Energy Corporation



DENVER, June 30  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Teton Petroleum Company, after
approval from shareholders at June 28 Annual Meeting, has changed its name to
Teton Energy Corporation.  Teton believes the name change will encompass the
company's new focus on natural gas in the Rocky Mountain region.  Previously,
Teton Petroleum had focused solely on Russian oil.

Concurrently, the Company has changed its symbol on the American Stock Exchange
from TPE to TEC.  The changes are both effective as of July 1, 2005.

Teton Energy Corporation is in the process of changing the web address from
http://www.tetonpetroleum.com/ to http://www.teton-energy.com/.  Also, the
Company's headquarters have moved to 410 17th Street, Suite 1850, Denver, CO
80202.  The new telephone number is 303-565-4600 and new fax number is
303-565-4606.
