    ANNOUNCEMENT

          New Star Enhanced Income Trust PLC and NSEIT Zeros 2008 PLC          

                          (together the "Companies")                           

                    PROPOSED MEMBERS VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION                     

The board of directors of both of the Companies announce that they have today
dispatched to shareholders a circular convening extraordinary general meetings
of both Companies and a class meeting of NSEIT Zeros 2008 PLC for the purpose
of placing the Companies into Members Voluntary Liquidation. The extraordinary
general meetings and class meeting will be held at 1 Knightsbridge Green,
London SW1X 7NE on 29 July 2003 commencing at 10.00 am.

A copy of the above document has been submitted to the UK Listing Authority,
and will shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing Authority's
Document Viewing Facility, which is situated at:
