DWS Defense Systems, Inc. Announces a Strategic Alliance with KBHM Corporation,
Inc.
Pact to Allow DWS to Penetrate Lucrative New York Metropolitan Area Real Estate
Market
HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DWS Defense Systems, Inc.,
(DWS) a wholly owned subsidiary of DataWorld Solutions, Inc. (PinkSheets: DWLD)
announced today that it has entered into a strategic alliance with KBHM
Corporation, Inc., (KBHM) a specialty New York-based real estate investment and
development company that develops and acquires high- density residential
properties. DWS is expected to provide its high quality designed, manufactured
and installed glass and polymer laminated products and systems to KBHM's
properties throughout the tri-state area and around the country.
"We believe that DWS's security solutions are increasingly important for both
landlords and tenants in the current environment," said Michael N. Mirolla,
President of KBHM. "Our architectural partner, ARCH SPIRE Architecture P.C. has
reviewed DWS's bomb resistant glass specifications and feels that this product
could not only afford us a competitive advantage in today's environment, but
provides a safer and more secure environment for our tenants requiring high-end
security."
KBHM and its partners are currently negotiating the acquisition of 430 existing
multifamily units in Connecticut and the acquisition of three multifamily
development sites in New York. The total acquisition cost is approximately $50
million, with projected development costs of approximately $100 million.
Sandhurst Development, a subsidiary of KBHM is in the process of closing on a
4.5 acre site in downtown Las Vegas. Its goal is to develop a multifamily
high-rise tower consisting of approximately 360 units. The total development
cost is approximately $90 million.
"We are excited to enter into a strategic alliance with KBHM Corporation, Inc.,"
said Dan McPhee, Chief Executive Officer of DataWorld Solutions. "This
relationship will help to ensure that DWS' emergence in the safety and security
marketplace will be enhanced by access to properties owned or controlled by
KBHM. This alliance should allow both parties to benefit from the delivery of
our manufactured and installed glass and polymer laminated products and systems.
The New York Metropolitan area, and other large cities, could be targets for
terrorists, and our security solutions, employing our bomb-resistant glass,
could provide an advantage to real estate developers looking to differentiate
themselves in a competitive market," CEO McPhee added.
