Clipper Ventures plc ("Clipper" or the "Company")



Clipper, the AIM listed marine events company, today announces the resignation
of Tim Cowper from his position as a non-executive director of the Company. The
Company would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Cowper for his efforts
over the period of his directorship. Mr Cowper will be replaced by Robert Dench
who was appointed to the board on 10 April 2003, the date Mr Cowper's
resignation became effective.



Mr Dench is a senior executive at Barclays plc, currently Managing Director of
their retail investment management businesses.  A major player in a number of
Barclays key strategic moves he will bring strong focus to bear on the strategic
direction of Clipper and the direction it has to move in so as to deliver
consistent growth and meet investors' expectations.

Dench said, " I am delighted to be joining Clipper. As a sailor I am naturally
excited by what Clipper does for a living. Much more importantly, as a
businessman I am even more excited by the potential to leverage Clipper's core
activities so as to drive shareholder value."

Sir Robin Knox Johnston, Chairman of Clipper Ventures said, " This represents a
strengthening of Clipper's Board.  Apart from his wealth of business management
experience Bob will provide a good bridge in respect of our links with the City
and investors."
