                           Purchase of Own Securities

On 3 November 2003 Colefax Group Plc bought for cancellation a total of 100,000
ordinary shares of 10 pence each (representing 0.5 per cent of the issued
ordinary share capital of Company) at a price of 84.5 pence per share.

Following the cancellation of these shares there will be 19,608,100 shares in
issue.
