T-Mobile US Inc. will begin selling its T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile brands in 2,300 Walmart stores and through Walmart's website, the cellular company said Monday.
Metro by T-Mobile will start selling phones and cellular plans in some Walmart stores Oct. 18. T-Mobile plans and devices will be available through Walmart starting on Nov. 1.
The Walmart presence is part of an effort to enroll more people in high-speed 5G data plans, T-Mobile said.
Walmart already sells phones and plans from other carriers such as AT&T Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc.
