Wells Fargo Investment Institute (WFII) today released the 2016 Outlook report ‘Navigating Risk in a Year of Change,’ that focuses on four themes that could play a pivotal role in the global markets in the coming years. In addition to the themes, the report also examines five potential changes brewing next year that could have significant implications for investors. These changes are:
1) a shift in U.S. monetary policy,
2) a change in the political landscape,
3) a changing consumer behavior,
4) growing uncertainty, and
5) global economic transition.
“The U.S. economy and the financial markets have been on a six-year path of recovery, and as that process continues and deepens, there are big changes coming next year,” said Darrell Cronk, President, Wells Fargo Investment Institute. “Against that backdrop, we identify the catalysts for change and point out what investors will need to navigate as the year progresses.”
The report provides market and economic forecasts for 2016 and focuses on four themes that are likely to impact the global financial markets.
