Cities of Fremont, Tracy and Watsonville choose Tyler’s Munis and Content Manager solutions

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed agreements with three California cities to provide the Munis® enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution as well as Tyler Content Manager. The city of Tracy signed a seven-year software as a service (SaaS) agreement, while the cities of Fremont and Watsonville will self-host the solutions. The agreements include related software licenses, professional services, maintenance and support.

The city of Fremont sought to replace its legacy software system with a solution that offered long-term viability and ongoing support. It was also interested in finding a solution that could integrate purchasing, accounts payable and general ledger functions to provide better transparency and control while significantly reducing redundant data entry.

The cities of Tracy and Watsonville are also replacing legacy ERP solutions and needed a system that could manage core functions, including financials, human capital management and citizen self-service.

The California cities are located in the San Jose and San Francisco area; the city of Fremont is approximately 35 miles from the city of Tracy, and is about 45 miles from the city of Watsonville. Fremont has a population of more than 220,000, making it the fourth most populous city in the San Francisco Bay Area, and among California’s 20 most populated cities. The city of Tracy, with a population of roughly 85,000, grew as a railroad center for the Central Pacific Railroad and has a solid base of small businesses, national retailers and restaurants. The city of Watsonville, known for its agriculture, has a population of more than 51,000.
