Travelers Cos. (TRV) on Thursday said its board raised the quarterly dividend by 6.5% to 82 cents from 77 cents.
The new payout, equal to $3.28 a year, represents an annual yield of about 2.41% based on Wednesday's closing price of $135.87, up from about 2.27%.
The New York insurance company said the increased dividend is payable June 28 to shareholders of record June 10.
