WarnerMedia, Bad Robot Productions in Content Collaboration Agreement

WarnerMedia and Bad Robot Productions on Thursday said they were entering a long-term content collaboration agreement, which will see Bad Robot create original projects and content for television, games and other platforms.

Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

The exclusive deal, which initially runs through 2024, builds on a 13-year relationship between J.J. Abrams, a principal in Bad Robot, and Warner Bros., which began in 2006 when Bad Robot entered a deal with Warner Bros. Television Group, the companies said.

The deal will see Bad Robot continue to develop and produce new television projects for all platforms, including HBO and HBO Max. In addition, Mr. Abrams and Bad Robot will develop original theatrical films for Warner Bros. Pictures Group, which includes Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema, the companies said.

Bad Robot also will continue to work with Warner Bros. and Tencent to develop content for the Interactive Entertainment video game division.

During its collaboration with Warner Bros. Television, Bad Robot produced such series as "Fringe," "Person of Interest" and "Westworld."
