Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) is nearing a deal to buy Pharmacyclics Inc. (PCYC), a developer of cancer treatments, the Financial Times reported Wednesday on its website, citing people familiar with the matter.
A deal could be reached in the coming days, although talks could still fall apart, the people told the FT.
Last month Bloomberg News, citing people with knowledge of the matter, reported that J&J and Novartis AG (NVS) had shown interest in buying Pharmacyclics.
