ServiceNow Inc. (NOW) shares were up 2% to $313.99 in afternoon trading.
Before the market open, the company said it would acquire Passage AI, a Mountain View, Calif.-based conversational AI platform company.
Digital workflows company ServiceNow said it expects to complete the acquisition by the end of the first quarter. It didn't disclose financial terms of the deal.
ServiceNow said Passage AI's conversational AI capabilities will expand its chatbot support for non-English languages.
The company on Monday said it is introducing a new industry solutions strategy, initially focusing banking and telecommunications.
