Northrop Grumman's booth #512 will feature solutions that help preserve command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) dominance, and provide integrated total, adaptable solutions supporting the Special Operations Forces network.

Information on the solutions showcased at the conference is available through the online media kit: http://www.northropgrumman.com/MediaResources/MediaKits/SOFIC

Capabilities on display include:

  • The laser-based directed energy Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) Guardian Laser Transmitter Assembly (GLTA) and the Advanced Threat Warner (ATW) have the ability to not only track missiles but also detect laser threats and hostile fire, such as rocket-propelled grenades or small arms fire.
  • The Multi-Band Laser Spot Tracker (MBLST), Slayer handheld precision targeting device and Venom vehicle-mounted targeting pod laser systems are tailored to provide mission overmatch and rapid precision engagement in all battlefield conditions. Enhancements deliver lighter weight and performance improvements through celestial navigation technology and leading-edge capabilities.
  • The Vehicle and Dismount Exploitation Radar (VADER) antenna was designed to support multiple missions, including the capability to detect dismounts and facilitate the exploitation of this data.
  • CGA is a high-performance map server that provides foundation GEOINT to disadvantaged users based on data built from National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) data products and commercial data sets.
  • Biosled, a component of Northrop Grumman's Biometric Ecosystem, is a single form factor device that serves as a lightweight, low-cost biometric sled. Biosled is designed to meet strict Department of Defense requirements for use in tactical environments. The customized form factor builds a semi-rugged case around the host Android smartphone. Biosled packs extended battery power and utilizes Northrop Grumman's high-performance biometric mobility software to achieve standards-based data capture.
  • Passporte is a computerized machine language conversion tool that rapidly transforms documents in a foreign language into English – accelerating understanding of its contents and allowing for rapid sorting and triaging of information.
  • The APG-83 Scalable Agile Beam Radar (SABR) is a full-performance, multi-function, active electronically scanned array (AESA) fire control radar in production and available now for the F-16. SABR was developed as an affordable, low-risk AESA radar and utilizes technology common with the radars on the F-35 and F-22 to extend the life and survivability of the F-16, keeping the platform relevant in the battlespace of the future. The SABR AESA system is also scalable to meet the unique form factor, power and cooling provisions for a wide variety of other aircraft configurations.
  • Northrop Grumman's Hellhound light reconnaissance vehicle provides unprecedented capabilities by combining the latest innovations from the automotive racing community with emerging weapons and electronics technologies to provide a uniquely flexible, high-performance platform for Special Operation Forces.
