On 20th June 2003 Matalan received notification from Fidelity Investments on
behalf of FMR Corp and Fidelity International Limited and their subsidiaries
that they had disposed of an interest in some shares of Matalan on behalf of the
following, as a result of which their holding has decreased to 4.75% in the
issued Ordinary 10p share capital of Matalan.
