JPMorgan Chase & Co. has hired Jonathan Paul to head Private Capital Markets Distribution for Asia Pacific.
Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Paul will focus on enhancing the bank's equity private placement, PIPE (Private Investment in Public Equity) and SPAC offerings, according to an internal memo of the bank seen by The Wall Street Journal said.
A JPMorgan spokesperson confirmed the contents of the memo.
Prior to joining JPMorgan, Mr. Paul was with the Asia Pacific equity capital market business of Credit Suisse AG.
"We are seeing great momentum in the Asia Pacific PCM business and we believe Jonathan's addition will be a further boost to the franchise," Francesco Lavatelli, head of Asia Pacific ECM and Corporate and Private Side Sales, said in the memo.
