Chase executives joined Gregory Zamfotis, founder and president of Gregorys Coffee, early this morning to showcase the many ways small business owners start the day by ‘ringing their morning bell.’ Zamfotis begins his by brewing delicious coffee for customers who work around and on Wall Street.

Together, Chase and Gregorys Coffee employees handed out free coffee to early commuters outside the New York Stock Exchange before the trading day began.

“The Morning Bell for Small Business is one more way we show our support for small businesses across America,” said Allison Bennett, chief marketing officer of Chase for Business. “We’re encouraging business owners to ring their opening bell in their own unique way and record it. We are amazed at how creative the initial videos have been.”

Any small business owner may send Chase a video showing them ringing their own small business bell. Some will be featured on Chase’s advertising venues, such as the Chase billboard on Times Square, as well as its website. Businesses need to submit their videos to chase.com/morningbell by Dec. 1, 2016, to be considered.

Chase for Business is also the presenting sponsor for the Small Business Administration’s National Small Business Week for the third year in a row.

Gregorys Coffee: Dream Brewing

New York-based Gregorys Coffee debuted at 24th and Park Avenue in 2006, and in the decade since has expanded to 17 locations throughout the city. Zamfotis, who gave up practicing law to pursue his entrepreneurial dream, has relied on Chase for Business to help his business grow.

“I’m living my dream as a small business owner, and I’m looking forward to seeing how others like me across the country will showcase their businesses by ringing their small business bell,” said Zamfotis, president of Gregorys Coffee. “I’m grateful to Chase for helping me focus on what I love to do – run my business instead of running to the bank all the time. They’re a great partner.”

Gregorys Coffee is one of four million small business customers of Chase for Business, which has provided more than $19 billion in new credit to clients in each of the last four years, as well as valuable information and advice via its online Business Resource Center. From deposit accounts and business credit cards to payment processing and business lending, Chase for Business helps small business owners at every stage of growth.

“I am so inspired by small business owners’ passion and drive, and this celebration is a great way to showcase their unique stories of success,” said Jennifer Piepszak, CEO of Chase Business Banking.
